Whether you have kids or not, the February half term holidays are an opportunity on the calendar to review the health and fitness that was set out to be achieved in December. An appraisal will highlight what's been done, reorganise and establish solutions to any shortfalls, moving forward to April with confidence with a revised plan.
Questions that can be asked. What questions would you ask yourself to help assess progress and acknowledge weaknesses.
What has worked well and turned into a positive habit since Christmas?
What has impeded progress and delayed ambitions being achieved?
Are there any health or physical niggles that are being ignored?
Have you got evidence to support the 'feeling' that gains have been made?
From these questions, a conversation of what to do going forward will make it easier to agree sensible and constructive changes, if any are needed at all. The questions do lead into others and this is about setting up success from reviewing experience. It is not an exercise to flog oneself.
Take the knowledge from a simple review, package it up, live each day with a positive mindset and complete it.
It won't be easy.
It is easier by removing the hurdles identified.
it is easier by knowing how to fill the gaps and practicing.
It is definitely easier asking people who are qualified in the desired area of expertise.
With systematic reviews of nutrition, recovery and progress every 2-6 weeks, the best laid plan may not have to change.
By completing the reviews and finding solutions to reorg, the best laid plans do change.
