Do you like to get on the trails and run? Do you want to train in the Purbecks and Jurassic Coast for the day? Sign up for the one day trail guided tour Corfe, Studlandand SwyreHead . We start out from the Sandbanks Chain Ferry, lift up onto the high ground overlooking CorfeCastle. Meander across the valley “rabbit” trails to connect our path towards kimmeridgeand the stunning landscape of the Jurassic Coastline. Take the challenging climbsviaSwyreHead before returning via the cliff face of Old Harry Rocks, with a final leg tester up the Ulwellstairs.
The group will meet 90 minutes before the run departure time. This will give everyone time to say hello, use the bathrooms, listen to a short brief from the lead trainer and ask any questions on warm up/ pacing. You will be taken to the short crossing at the Sandbanks Chain ferry and the run begins. Straight onto the soft trails of StudlandHeath, through the forest paths before taking the first climb on to the CorfeRidgeway. Continuing along the ridgeways with stunning viewpoints inland to Poole bay and coastward to Lulworth, you will be led through the valley fields to make the connection across to Kimmeridgebay, overlook ClovelTower. There is a water refill point here. Challenge the senses along the coast path before ascenindingthe highest point of this section of coast, swyrehead. Another set of field and forest trails before the final climb onto Nine barrow down and a view of the finish 3 miles away., Once everyone is safely acros, it’s onto SOMWEHERE for food and drinks. What’s the level required? You have completed a half marathon race or distance in training within the last 6 months with experience or intentions of going further into marathon/ ultra territory. You have no trouble getting over stiles, negotiating slippery/ rocky surfaces and ascending steep slopes. You have no fear of heights or walking along cliff paths. You are injury and illness free that complies with the short health and fitness question sheet . Sent through on application.
